Fall Flows & Cozy Vibes
Carissa Collins | NOV 28, 2025
Happy October! The air is crisp, the leaves are red and golden, and it feels like the perfect time to bundle up, move our bodies, and settle into the cozy rhythm of fall. Thank you for showing up in September, whether in person, on Zoom, or cheering from the sidelines. You make this feel like one big friends club, and I’m so excited to keep flowing with you this month.
Fall is the perfect time to slow down, release what no longer serves you, and make space for what nourishes your mind, body, and spirit. I’ve created a one-page Autumn Seasonal Reset Guide with grounding breath exercises, reflective prompts, and a mini movement reset to help you pause, reset, and feel cozy this season.
I’m thrilled to share that starting Thursday, October 16 at 10:30am, I’ll be leading a 6-week Chair Yoga series at the Spanish Waterfront Complex in collaboration with the township. This program is all about gentle movement, connection, and giving seniors (and anyone who prefers a lighter practice) the chance to try something new each week.
I’ll also be teaching Saturday Power Yoga classes at 9am at HOP Fitness for the month of October. These vinyasa-style classes focus on building strength and balance while working toward a peak pose, all with attention to breath and mindfulness.

I’ve been easing back into reading this past month and while I didn’t totally love what I read, it felt so good to start turning pages again.
Always Never Sometimes by Adi Alsaid→ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5)
High school romances just aren’t my thing anymore but it wasn't terrible.
While We’re Young by K.L. Walther→ ⭐️⭐️ (2/5)
The story switches between four different perspectives, which makes it feel choppy and hard to connect with any of the characters. There are a lot of plot twists, but most don’t feel meaningful. The ending wraps up too quickly and doesn’t feel like a real conclusion. Overall, it left me unsatisfied.
For October, I’m hunting for something cozy, seasonal, and with characters I can actually relate to. If you’ve got a rec, reply to this email and let me know I’d love to swap suggestions!
Fall has me back in the kitchen, and these two recipes were total hits:
Cinnamon Rolls by Ambitious Kitchen – Soft, gooey, and perfect for a slow Sunday morning
This Beef Bourguignon (Julia Child Recipe) from Cafe Delites was honestly, to die for. We had no leftovers, enough said.
Next on my list: something with pumpkin 🎃 (I’ll report back in November!)
October always reminds me that letting go can be beautiful. Just like the trees, we get to release what’s heavy and make space for something new. I hope our practices this month give you grounding, softness, and a little spark of joy.
See you on the mat soon,
Carissa ✨
