Why I Chose to Rename

The Flow Place.

It feels so good to finally say it out loud, to breathe it into existence, to let it take up space in the world the way it has been quietly taking up space in my heart.
If you have been with me since the very beginning, you might remember Homebody Movement Club. I created it during a season of my life when comfort, stillness, and simplicity felt like the most important things I could offer. It was born out of long, quiet mornings and a desire to create gentle pockets of grounding wherever people needed them. In those early days I taught on beaches, in community halls, in backyards, and in any space where someone needed a moment to come home to themselves.
And for a long time, that name fit. It reflected the version of me who was still stepping into teaching, still finding my voice, still exploring what it meant to hold space for others.
But as I kept learning and growing, something inside me began to shift. My teaching became deeper. My intention became clearer. My purpose stretched into places I had not expected. I realized that the name I had was beautiful, but it was no longer the truest expression of what I wanted to create.
I realized I didn’t want a brand that described a place you go.
I wanted a brand that described a way of being.
A way of moving.
A way of returning to yourself.
That is where The Flow Place came from.
Flow has always been one of my favourite words. It holds so many meanings at once. It is ease, softness, presence, breath, and strength when you need it. It is that feeling of being aligned with yourself, not forcing, not rushing, not performing for anyone. Flow is trust. Flow is surrender. Flow is choosing to meet yourself exactly as you are, moment by moment.
And the word “place” is not about a physical studio, at least not yet.
Place means an inner landing spot.
A spaciousness inside your own body.
A return, again and again, to the part of you that knows how to breathe, soften, and listen.
This rebrand is not a goodbye.
It is an evolution.
A deepening.
A becoming.
It is a clearer reflection of the softness, grounding, and mindful connection I hope you feel every time you practice with me.
Thank you for being here, for growing with me, and for allowing me to grow alongside you.
Welcome to The Flow Place, where you are invited to move, breathe, soften, and return home to yourself.
